Soldering Copper Pipe Butane Torch. It certainly will not solder a 1 inch copper pipe. First use sandpaper to clean the inside and outside of the pipes and fittings that will be joined.
There is not much basic difference between soldering in electronics and soldering a small caliber copper tube with butane gas blow torch except the fact in case of butane gas blow torch we are working with naked flame of very high temperature. Match the diameter of pipe to the project you are working on. And Butane does not burn hot enough and these torches are typically too small to solder copper pipe.
Keep pipes dry when soldering Dont try to solder pipes.
Copper pipe needs to be cleaned before it can be soldered. It certainly will not solder a 1 inch copper pipe. Most of the heat from the torch goes into turning the water to steam so the copper wont get hot enough to melt the solder. A simple Benzomatic or similar propane torch will do the 1 inch pipe.
