Welding Blanket For Pellet Grill. I have used a welding blanket from harbor freight on my Rec Tec RT-700 several times. I use a welding blanket I believe that is the correct term to insulate my Traeger 075 during the winters.
Venting is critical with pellet grills. You will not need to get a custom fit. Most of the folks used a welding blanket for grill or smoker insulation during cold weather.
These fire black blankets are excellent for welding and can handle up to 2300F intermittently.
This type of blanket can also be helpful with outdoor grills that lose a lot of heat. I dont double it up but I would highly recommend cutting the blanket to. Dont know jack about pellet grills but if you want a back door thermal blanket get 2 inexpensive welding tarpsHF and a ceramic fiber blanket12 thick and stitch it up.
