Welding Technology Course Description. Welding career paths may include working for contracting and construction companies building permanent and temporary infrastructures repairing military equipment or working various pipeline jobs. This course is designed to provide students with the basic knowledge and safe operating skills needed to demonstrate proper set of equipment in oxyfuel shielded metal arc welding SMAW and gas metal arc welding GMAW.
