Welding Cast Iron Pan. Just noticed a crack on my Ford 8N tractor oil pan. The repairs may be made in the foundry where the castings are produced or may be made to repair casting.
Using a cutting torch and Brass filler rod with Brazing flux. First thing this isnt a hard project. Beside above can Cast Iron be repaired.

Nickel wire is the only real option to work for this work when TIG welds with cast iron. Anyone done something similar ie. When finished you will have a piece of cookware that you will love and wonder why you ever spent the money on a new high cost cast iron pan.
