Its definitely not a good idea. It should be located before the muffler and after the catalytic converter. Was thinking of disconnectingremoving the exhaust to weld then reconnect just to be safe but would rather not. If you are looking to tame the aggressiveness of the muffler as well I dont see much relief by adding a resonator you may want to replace the muffler.
